3% Take the LA Dodgers (#908) on the Run Line
The Dodgers left 13 runners on base in yesterday’s loss to the Mets, leaving the bases loaded four times with an inning ending out. They’ve suffered through a dismal homestand, losing all three series, and they’re at risk of getting swept for the first time this year in today’s game. That said, manager Dave Roberts gives us a STRONG bet-on quote here: “We usually play well at home and this week we haven't. Now we have our ace going and I expect him to bounce back. He feels healthy, he's not sick anymore so I expect him to pitch well and put us in a position to win a ballgame."
Tyler Glasnow was signed to be LA’s ace, and he’s pitched like it – four dominant starts to open the season (six runs allowed in 24 innings of work, with 29 strikeouts in the process. Last time out, he was under the weather and it showed. He’s healthy again today; the Dodgers bullpen behind him has all their key arms ready.
The Mets have played excellent baseball over the last week, but this Afternoon Delight affair on the West Coast has all the makings of a bad matchup. Starter Adrian Houser has issued more walks than strikeouts this season. He lasted only 75 pitches in a 6-2 loss in his only start on this field last year, and needed 81 pitches scuffling through 2.1 innings in a 12-6 blowout loss on this field in his only start here in 2022. Expect more of the same today. Take the Dodgers on the Run Line
