Analysis

1% Justin Turner (TOR) OVER 1.5 HRR — v. Musgrove (SD) —

I always like attacking these individuals that know opposing SP’s better than the rest of the team, especially when they have a history like Turner does. It is hard to forget Turner’s time in a Dodgers uniform, but he knows the NL West well, including Joe Musgrove and the San Diego Padres.

Turner has posted a .429 batting average in his career against Musgrove (6-14), with a 1.571 OPS! Half of his career hits off of Musgrove have been HRs (3) and he has driven in 5 RBIs!

Turner has hit this number in 3 of the L6 games, while supporting the personal “zig-zag” and he did miss this number in his last game. He has reached this number in 7 of the L11 games, including 2 of the L3 on the road. While his AVG + OPS are slightly worse on the road this season, that does NOT mean he hasn’t been productive on the road … Turner’s SLG% is actually higher on the road and he has done a majority of his damage away from home! He has driven in 87.5% of his runs on the road (7 of 8), hit 100% of his HRs (2 of 2), and scored 64% of his runs (7 of 11) on the road this season!!

If that isn’t already impressive enough, Turner is 39 years old and currently leads the Toronto Blue Jays in hits, RBIs, XBHs, AVG & OB%!!
