The Gold Sheet
(585) New Orleans Pelicans at (586) Oklahoma City Thunder
Oklahoma City closed out its regular season with five-straight wins, earning the Northwest Division Title. The top-seeded Thunder will host the No. 8 seed from New Orleans, who earned its spot after a 105-98 home win over Sacramento on Friday. Zion Williamson remains sidelined for the Pelicans, but Brandon Ingram came alive to score 24 points on 10-of-20 shooting with Jonas Valanciunas scoring 19 points while hauling in 12 rebounds. Both teams have thrived in their respective role this season. Oklahoma City went 23-12 against the spread as a home favorite while New Orleans was an NBA-best 14-5-1 as a road 'dog. In our opinion, this spread is tool large for a seasoned Pelicans team that has plenty of practice playing without Williamson. Oklahoma City has had the full week off, which probably isn't great for a team that doesn't have postseason experience. At full strength and on a neutral court, we make this game close to a pick'em. Home court and Zion Williamson are not worth eight points, in our opinion.
