He was outstanding in his lone home start, allowing one run through eight complete innings. Perez was also really sharp in each of his last two starts against Boston, winning 7-1 and 2-1. In each case, he allowed one run through six complete innings. Wincowski, who has an ugly 2.06 WHIP in seven bullpen appearances, will be making his first start this season. He's mostly worked out of the bullpen since coming into the league in 2022 but he did make one start here at Pittsburgh. It didn't go well as he allowed six earned runs in five innings, losing 8-2.
