Detroit is coming off splitting a 4-game series against the Twins recently and now travels to Minnesota to face them at home. Joe Ryan takes the mound for the Twins who pitched a solid game last time out against Detroit. Now Detroit gets to see him another time around against Ryan who only pitched against them 6 days ago. We should see an improvement off that last effort this time out and they get a veteran in Jack Flaherty to keep them in the game early.

The Twins are beyond bad at the plate currently while hitting .185 in their last 15 days and striking out at a 32% clip. Their hitting is not something that you can currently trust and will depend on Joe Ryan to be a shutdown pitcher in order to keep them in this game.
