(903) Milwaukee Brewers at (904) St. Louis Cardinals
After a day off and a chance to regroup, the Brewers are ready to pick up another win as they travel to St. Louis for a 3-game set. Milwaukee’s offense has been tremendous, ranking 2nd in all of baseball in both OPS as well as batting average. Freddy Peralta toes the rubber and he’s been tremendous. Peralta has allowed a total of just 4 runs in his 3 starts this season and is fresh off an outing against the Orioles where he allowed just 1 run over 6 innings while striking out 11. He has a wOBA of .227 on the season and K rate at an amazing 39.4%. The Card’s lineup ranks near the bottom of the league and they’ll be sending a “fade” candidate to the mound in Kyle Gibson, fresh off allowing 4 earned to the Diamondbacks in his last start. Gibson’s analytics are terrible. He doesn’t strike out many batters and he ranks in just the 9th percentile in pitching run value. A lineup like Milwaukee’s will make him pay, and we’ve got the pitcher we want on the mound for this play to be worthy of 5% status. Take the Brewers F5.
