Analysis

We're taking Luton Town to get a positive result at home on Saturday against Brentford in the EPL.

Full Breakdown

Luton are in the midst of a huge injury crisis right now at the worst possible time of the season as well, with no fewer than eleven players expected to be out of the lineup ahead of Saturday's fixture.

That said, despite Luton's injury woes and coming off the back of a 5-1 hosing by Manchester City last weekend also, we like the Hatters to get at least a draw in this one at home this weekend in an absolutely must-win spot for them given their situation in the league table.

They face a Brentford side on Saturday that despite manufacturing a 2-0 win against Burnley last weekend, looked far from impressive in that game, with rumors continuing to circulate behind the scenes of some major turmoil in regards to Ivan Toney's future at the club, or lack thereof, who failed to start for them yet again in last week's game.

That win against Sheffield United was Brentford's first victory in the league since early February, and they've been one of the worst performing road teams in the league this year as well, generating just three wins away from home all season from their 16 visits around the EPL.

Luton suffered a massive loss at home against fellow relegation-battlers Sheffield United back in February, a shock result considering the Hatters went off as heavy odds on favorites to win that game, but beyond that they have been fairly strong at Kenilworth Road this season, taking points off Newcastle, Brighton, and Liverpool here, and bar that Sheffield United result, not having lost to a bottom-half ranked club at home since October.

Brentford look like a team in absolute turmoil right now with top-goalscorer Ivan Toney looking set for a big move away in the summer. That's created friction behind the scenes with manager Thomas Frank also, who could also be out the door sooner rather than later seeing as he shortened from 33/1 to just 20/1 recently to be the next manager to leave over at William Hill.

With the much greater urgency coming from Luton ahead of this game, a game they can vastly capitalize on as well depending on what happens in the Nottingham Forest versus Everton game on Sunday, we're expecting the Hatters to have this one circled on Saturday as an absolute must-win spot, and get a positive result at home in front of their home fans in order to inject some life into their attempts to avoid relegation this season.

Take Luton Town to cover, and potentially win outright, at home on Saturday against Brentford over in the EPL.
