#35 4% Boston -153 Washington

While Boston is in a 3-way battle for the #2, #3 and #4 seeds as one point separates them from Carolina and Florida, they do not have true pressure as Washington does as they are in a 3-way tie for the #8 seed. Bruins are off a road win versus Pittsburgh a team that was in a similar spot fighting for the #8 seed and they came away with a 6-4 win. Bruins talked about establishing a playoff culture prior to that game and carrying it into this match-up. Boston is 6-2 their L8 games with both losses as pick and the win with an avg score of 3.8 to 2.0. When the Bruins are playing a road game off a road game they are 1-4 with no rest but with rest they are 15-4! Washington has puttered down a stretch going 2-7 and while they beat Tampa at home on Thursday, they still have Boston on Monday and the play at Philly on Tuesday. The Capitals scored 4 goals in their last game but did not top 2 goals in any of the previous 8 games. Washington has been a HD off a win a dog 5 times since December and are 1-4. As a dog of +125 and higher versus teams with a win% of 55%+ Washington is 5-16 including 3-13 since mid-January. 

The linesmakers know that teams with playoff need often get bet so this is  an inflated line based on my numbers.
