I don’t want to dismiss anything that FAU has done this season. The Owls have had a tremendous year, but they got a tough draw from a team that has been battle tested. FAU is elite in several categories, but when you run down their schedule you’ll find that the only team they beat that’s playing in the NCAA Tournament is Northern Kentucky, a 16 seed. The Tigers are going to get out and run and keeping up with them is going to be quite a challenge. Memphis is an athletic squad and far more experienced than FAU. They’ve also played a much tougher schedule and it’s not even close, most recently beating Houston by 10 in the conference tournament. Nothing against what FAU did in Conference USA, but they’re not ready to face the Tigers. Take Memphis on the money line.
