The first race after the COVID break was rough for teams by having no practice time on the track or qualifying.  There were some teams and drivers who thrived, and some who really struggled.  One who struggled was Kyle Busch.  He failed pre-race inspection twice, and got sent to the back of the field, and was never competitive.  It was a bit of a surprise as he is one of the most experienced and accomplished drivers in the sport, and his team and crew chief are elite, but he was a complete non-factor.  Truex, on the other hand had quite the race.  His car was AWFUL at the beginning of the race, and he was racing back in 29th when his team made adjustments, and he steam rolled to the front finishing in 6th.  Coming from 29th, and racing your way up to 6th is tough on most tracks, but at Darlington it’s especially tough.  It showed that team worked on their car throughout the race, and they should have their setup dialed in on Wednesday.  I expect him to be up near the front most of the day as opposed to having to race through traffic, it was a great performance by him and especially his team, and he should have the advantage over Kyle Busch in this race.
