2024 NFL Draft: Draft Position Best Bets

NFL Logo on the Field, 2024 NFL Draft

The 2024 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 25th. NFL draft betting has become more difficult over the past two seasons as the NFL has partnered with more gambling companies. Still, based on information, GM trends, and other factors, we can make bets on where we expect players to be selected and at what pick.

2024 NFL Draft: Draft Position Best Bets

J.J. McCarty, QB, Michigan, 5.5 O -105, U -125

J.J. McCarthy has flown up draft board since his Wolverines won the National Title, but how much of this love is warranted and how much of it is media driven? McCarthy was not asked to win games for his team, but he was poised and accurate when he needed to be. He has been lauded for his character and competivieness, and now he’s projected to be a top-5 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. We like the under as teams have clearly expressed interest in McCarthy, and insiders believe he could go as high as No. 2.

Terrion Arnold, CB, Toledo, 15.5 O -110, U -120

Arnold played at the small school of Toledo, but that does not diminish his 2024 NFL Draft hype. Arnold is seen by some scouts as the best cornerback in the class, and his production, traits, and workouts have pushed him up boards.

There are a number of teams in the top 15 looking for cornerback production, but there are also a few other cornerbacks that have garnered attention. We like the over as in the past few drafts, the top cornerbacks with the best odds to go first have not gone first.

Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia, 22.5 O -128, U -104

Offensive linemen are coveted in the NFL, and Mims has seen his name be shot up draftboards over the process. He is young, big, and productive. There are a number of teams with needs on the OL, so we like the under here.

Cooper Dejean, CB, Iowa, 22.5 O -106, U -125

Cooper Dejean is an intriguing prospect for a number of reasons, For starters, he is more of a hybrid defensive back than a true cornerback, and teams covet that. Due to his versatility and his game, Dejean has a chance to be the first cornerback taken in the entire 2024 NFL Draft. We like the under here.

Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama 28.5 O -124, U -107

Kool-Aid McKinstry may have the coolest name in the 2024 NFL Draft, but we like his over here. McKinstry played mostly zone coverage, and Alabama, under Nick Saban, had historically been a man-to-man coverage team. Why is this significant? If Nick Saban did not trust his cornerback to play man in college that he was willing to switch his whole defensive philosophy, that is a sign. A team may reach for him regardless, but at this price, we are out on McKinstry.
