THE PLAY: Atlanta Braves -112 Y Darvish (RHP), B Elder (RHP) Must Start
The Braves and Padres play again in Atlanta as the Braves continue this unreal under streak that they are on going 21-1-1 to the under in their last 23 games. I'm going to play Atlanta here based of the price alone. The Braves have only been a favorite this small against the Dodgers, Astros and Mets on the road. When Atlanta is -140 or less on the money line this season they are 8-4 straight up. Two of those four losses came to the Dodgers out west and road games at Seattle and the aforementioned Mets game. Atlanta has only been a favorite under -140 at home twice this year and won them both. Coming off the loss last night, puts this situationally in their favor. Despite the fact that it's Yu Darvish going for the Padres, it feels like some regression is headed his way as he's held opponents scoreless in his last three starts over 17 innings. The Padres have won five consecutive starts with Darvish on the mound. Darvish has also struggled against the Braves in his career. In seven starts, he's 1-4 with a 5.30 ERA and a 1.51 WHIP. The Braves are batting .273 against him with an .833 OPS. It's a cheap price for the better team and Atlanta has the bullpen advantage.
