Verlander seems to key up for the matchups against the Yankees as he has enjoyed a lot of success against these hitters. He is prone to a long ball here and there but has held these Yankees hitters to a combined .163 in 146 plate appearances. While the Yankees are one of the better lineups in the MLB, they have struggled recently and now face a pitcher that has had their number in the past.

Luis Gil started the year off well but has tailed off a bit as the season has progressed. Outside of the results against BAL & TB, he has given up multiple runs and none of them were against a lineup as dangerous as the Astros throughout. The Astros are hitting better as the season has gone on after their slow start and expect them to get to Gil early and often.
