NHL - Carolina Hurricanes at New York Rangers

Game thoughts: Game 1 of the division finals here. Rangers come off a sweep of the Capitals and 6 days off heading into this one and weren't really tested in that opening round but will be here as this Canes team seems to have made all the right moves at the trade deadline and offseason to build a team that could finally get over that hurdle and a tough first round match up and 4-1 series win gives them the edge as well going into game 1. Taking the Canes in game 1 and in the series as well. From a pure analytics standpoint their opening round numbers were great.
