Genoa vs Cagliari
Serie A, Monday, 2:45pm ET
Play: Cagliari +0.25
Odds at Time of Release: -110
Line Parameter: Playable to -120
Cagliari have been making incredible efforts to avoid relegation as of late, remaining unbeaten in L/4 with back to back 2-2 draws against Juventus and Inter Milan and a win against Atalanta, while losing just 1 of L/9 (W3 D5 L1). They are sitting just 3 points above the relegation zone and they can move even further if they get some points against a Genoa side that hasn't been in the best of shapes lately.
Genoa's main goal was to avoid relegation this season, and they are currently sitting 10 points above, and with 5 more matches to go, they realistically can't go down. They only need a few more points to mathematically avoid relegation, but with 5 more teams between them and the relegation zone, they are pretty safe.
Initial thought was a nice Draw at +200, which are pretty big odds for two Italian teams that can settle for a comfortable draw, but the Asian Spread is set at 0.25 and we definitely side with Cagliari +0.25 here. I don't see Genoa losing, as it's a big holiday in the city and they are celebrating their patron saint (St. George), so there are festivities in the city and Genoa will even use their anniversary kit. I doubt this fiesta will be marred by a loss, but it's Cagliari who are more interested in points right now.
Take 1u on Cagliari +0.25 (-110), which is a split line between Cagliari PK and Cagliari +0.5
