Everyone will want to grab the Lakers because of the Zig Zag Theory. That’s the concept of just betting the team that lost the last game in the next game. That once was good as gold but hasn’t been as good in recent years. I also think because there is a bigger disparity in the match ups in the opening rounds as you have #1 seeds vs #8 seeds and #2 vs #7. There will be times that I jump on the Zig Zag bandwagon but this isn’t one of them. The Lakers don’t match up well with Denver. The Lakers shot a horrid 27% from 3 connecting on only 8 of 29. People will look and say the Lakers shot that bad and only lost by 11 so that’s why they will keep it closer tonight. But I will counter with the Lakers had a huge edge once again from the foul line hitting 17 of 19 while Denver only went to the line 6 times. The Lakers have to get every minute they can from LeBron and AD to stay in the game and LeBron is coming back with just one days rest. Lebron can’t go full throttle on both ends and they need his offense too much which means he can’t play as hard defensively so that he has something left in the 4th Q. My numbers have DENVER Winning by 11-13 points.
