Our selection is on the Vancouver Canucks in regulation

This is a big game for the Canucks for several reasons. One, the comeback of No. 1 goaltender Thatcher Demko. Now Demko has been injured since March 9 TH and has missed 14 games. There is no doubt that this Canucks club is a much different team without him. We firmly believe with the 2 days’ rest and at home, Vancouver will beat this Calgary club. We think this is a great spot for Vancouver and we make this a 5% play. The other reason we believe the Canucks will have a big game here is because they need to win to lock up the Pacific Division. They also still have an outside chance to become first in the West with two wins and a Dallas loss to St. Louis in their last game. That is really big incentive.

Now let’s get to more advantages. As we said Vancouver has not played since beating Edmonton on Saturday. In fact, they have played only three games in 8 days which will be HUGE here to have one of their better games. Calgary have played okay and beat teams as in Anaheim, San Jose and Arizona of late. However, they have lost to the better clubs such as Winnipeg, Edmonton and LA. Vancouver has won 2 of the 3 games this season and 3 of the last 4 between the clubs. Calgary has been terrible on the road of late losing 7 of their last 9 games. This is also going to be the 4 TH game in 6 nights for a Calgary club with not much to play for but pride. We can never lay 210 with the Canucks on the Money Line but we believe we are getting a fair price in regulation only laying 130.
