Much has been made about the Blue Jays' offensive struggles this season, but let's not forget the schedule they have faced thus far. Toronto has played the Rays, Astros, Yankees and Mariners to start the season. That's not easy. Toronto's lineup should enjoy a nice bit of class relief against Dakota Hudson. While pitching for the Cardinals last season, Hudson was in the bottom-15th percentile among pitchers in expected ERA (6.00), expected batting average allowed (.292), average exit velocity (90.5 miles per hour), chase rate, whiff rate, hard-hit rate and strikeout rate. It's a small sample size, but Toronto's current lineup is hitting .385 against Hudson with a .449 weighted on-base average. George Springer is 2-for-3 with a double and a home run. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is 3-for-5 with a double. Justin Turner is 2-for-5. Both bullpens have been at the bottom of the league to start the season. Toronto's bullpen brings a 5.60 ERA into this contest while the Rockies have a league-worst 6.36 ERA. Both bullpens are in the bottom-five in WAR so far this season.
