Analysis

With their current roster, the White Sox are probably the worst team in baseball but they haven't been priced like it. Yet. In our opinion, there's still some room to play against Chicago before they start to get priced like last year's A's. Yoan Moncada, Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert Jr. are all on the IL with Jimenez hopeful to return this weekend. Chris Flexen was one of the worst starting pitchers in baseball last season, and he certainly hasn't looked much better this year. Splitting his time between the Mariners and Rockies, Flexen was in the bottom-tenth percentile among all pitchers in expected ERA (6.20), expected batting average allowed (.297) and strikeout rate (15.9-percent) last year. In two starts this season, he's 0-2 with a 5.91 ERA and a 1.59 WHIP. He's walked as many batters (5) as he's struck out (5). The Reds' lineup is No. 3 in hard-hit rate on the young season. Cincinnati had off on Thursday, so the Reds' bullpen is rested and ready for the start of this series. We've got the road team guaranteed to get nine at-bats. There is a strong wind in Chicago tonight, but that's unlikely to help a White Sox lineup that has hit the fewest home runs in the league thus far.
