3% Take San Francisco (#961) (action)
This is an ‘action’ wager in a ‘bullpen game’ for both of these teams – there’s no starting pitching edge for San Francisco. But this is a tale of two teams headed in opposite directions – San Francisco is road chalk here for good reason!
The Brewers started hot: 14-5 in their first 19 games. Frankly, they’ve been overpriced ever since, 13-17 in their last 30 games. The Brewers just shut out the Astros in back-2-back games, but they used up their bullpen in the process, and that bullpen had been showing cracks prior to the last two days. Milwaukee’s lineup? 26 runs scored in their last nine ballgames, averaging fewer than three per game; no exactly tearing the cover off the ball of late.
San Francisco underachieved early – the opposite of the Brewers – opening 6-13 in their first 19 ballgames. They’re 18-12 since, playing .600 baseball over the last month; 7-2 in their last nine ballgames. Their key bullpen arms weren’t used yesterday. It doesn’t matter which bullpen arm the Brewers use to open the game this evening – this is a game I expect the Giants to win. Take the Giants
