3% Take Oklahoma City (#569)
Let me start with an excerpt from my last pro-Thunder write-up, a win and cover against Indiana earlier this week. Numbers have been adjusted slightly to reflect current realities:
“My clients and I have bet ON Oklahoma City with some regularity this season, much like we did last year. It’s paid enormous dividends! OKC finished #2 in the NBA with a 48-30-4 ATS mark last year and they rank at the top of the ATS standings again this year: 29-16 ATS; a consistently undervalued commodity. They just went on the road and knocked off Brooklyn, Chicago and Philly – three playoff teams – all by double digit margins. They’ve won their last four home games vs Dallas, Boston, Indiana and Washington – at least two playoff teams in that group, potentially all four – all by double digit margins. This is a hot team right now; a team that doesn’t get any national publicity or TV appearances – they’re holding their value, still!”
The Kings are in a classic flat spot. They’re returning home after a perfect road trip, culminating with a wild win in LA against the Lakers on Wednesday despite the absence of their low post All Star, Domantas Sabonis. Sabonis may be back here (classic letdown spot for the rest of the team, with their star back on the floor) or he could miss again tonight – there appears to be a flu bug going around the Kings locker room right now with a couple of other guys dealing with illness as well. Bottom line: OKC remains worth riding, again and again. Take the Thunder.
