The Padres are starting to play their best baseball of the season, winning five of their last seven games. Heading into today's action just one game under (.500) after the rough start to the year. The Friars have also been road warriors, going (11-8) on the highway. San Diego absolutely crushes righties and up against a former bullpen arm for the Cubs makes for a solid spot to back the Padres. 

Dylan Cease gets the start and the righty has been lights out. Posting under a 2.60 ERA with 48 strikeouts already this season. He has won four of his last five starts with the only loss against the red hot Phillies. Every other start year to date no more than two earned runs given up. Cubs on the wrong side of a glaring lefty/ righty offensive split. They have struggled against right handed pitchers. Padres at the short price is the play.
