NHL - Carolina Hurricanes at New York Rangers 

Game Thoughts: Rangers took game 1 of the series 4-3 and I don't expect there to be many 7 goal games in this series. The game in itself was a sloppy game with penalties and with both teams having been off 5+ days it could have been expected but I expect the Canes to be much better on Tuesday. They allowed 2 powerplay goals and each was scored 9 and 15 seconds into the powerplays with their positioning obviously less than stellar and they were the top regular season team killing penalties at an 86.43% clip. The Canes actually held the advantage in xG in that game at 2.67 to 2.16 further highlighting that Game 1 result wasn't a true indication of how I see this series going. Carolina to bounce back and even up this series in Game 2.
