Our selection is on the Texas Rangers

The A’s had won 6 straight games and 8 out of 9 before losing to Miami yesterday. Now we like the A’s to lose a second straight as they have Alex Wood on the hill. Alex has really struggled this year as his 6.32 ERA would suggest. He actually has already pitched this year against the Rangers in Texas and gave up 2 runs in 4 innings. We believe it helps Texas in this spot already having faced Wood. They are starting to come around as a team taking 2 out of 3 over KC on the weekend. The Rangers send Andrew Heaney to the hill and he has also struggled for the Rangers. However, what we like about Andrew is that he had his best start of the season last game allowing only 1 run over 7 innings. Now we will look for him to take it on the road against what we believe has been an overachieving Oakland club. The Rangers are poised to go on a long winning streak which is at 2 right now. They do have 4 in Oakland and then 3 more in Colorado this weekend. That could make it a solid 6 going into the Colorado series. Let’s just make it 3 after tonight and we will move forward down the road.
