Analysis

Jonathan Pearce (-175) vs David Onama:

Totally respect the explosive power of David Onama and what he brings to the table. With that said, there's a clear advantage for Pearce staring us right in the faces… wrestling. Now I know I know, Onama is a freak athlete  with physicality yet struggles defending takedowns. Even in wins, he's been brought to the mat multiple times against lesser talented wrestlers. In his last two fights combined opponents were 5 for 8 successfully taking Onoma down. Even back a few fights ago Onoma was taken down 8 times against Mason Jones whom all those fighters listed, I 'd rate their wrestling ability much lower than Pearce's. One thing's for sure, Jonathan will also stick to the gameplan relentlessly level changing smothering any offense Onoma can offer up. Winning these exchanges postnatally all fight as Pearce banks rounds. Averaging slightly over 5 takedowns per 15 mins supporting a path JSP will seek repeatedly without getting cute on the feet. Add in David's suspect cardio and I believe after weathering any early storm round 1, Pearce beings banking rounds or tiring out Onoma late.

Uros Medic (-300) vs Tim Means:

Tim Means defeating Andre Fialho recently has given “The Dirty Bird” a false sense of accomplishment. Knocking out a punching bag shouldn't be something anyone should celebrate, as Fialho's been flatlined in all of his last 4 bouts. Listen, I'm a fan of Means… I am. He's offered us some incredible match ups but sadly on his last leg. A man once known for a brawling durable style has finally shown signs of slowly down  For Uros big advantage on the feet technically backed by big power in multiple different weapons standing he can call upon. Means chin is an absolute liability and one Medic will capitalize on in the pocket. Believe he lands damaging shots early with an opportunity for a finishing upside. While some have found a high wrestle heavy approach successful, I don't believe Means is capable to getting or keeping Medic down. Fight should play out on the feet allowing opportunities for for Uros utilizing hos striking picking Means apart.
