Analysis

REGULATION Tampa Bay Lightning -115…(5%)

After waiting to see that Andrei Vasilevskiy was confirmed, this play was confirmed to be a 5% play.

Some might ask, is this game meaningless for the Lightning? And are the Sabres trying to end the season on a good note?? The answer is simple: the Lightning like to enter the playoffs on a GREAT note every year. For coach Cooper and the Bolts, it's not about whether you are playing well in November or December; it's about whether their team is playing in March & April,

The Bolts are coming off back-to-back losses to Washington and Ottawa. Playing in front of their home crowd, PLUS being off two losses, I expect a big effort from the Lighting tonight, who have proven how deep their lineup is lately, getting goal contributions from three different lines. The Lighting are scoring 3.50 goals per game, with 24 goals in their last six games. Led by Hart Trophy nominee, Kucherov has 43 goals and 98 assists on the season, and his partner in crime, Brayden Point, continues to have an exceptional season as well.

The Sabres have struggled with offence in a big way. They average only 2.96 goals per game, with only nine goals in their last four games. The Lightning will be motivated to get back in the win column after two losses, and their defence will do a good job of shutting down the Sabres. Look for Andrei Vasilevskiy to have a great night in goal and for us to see a classic Tampa Bay strong home performance for our big 5% play of the night.
