NFL Tech Angle

Philadelphia @ Chicago 09/28 05:09 PM
Philadelphia had won six-straight meetings in this NFC matchup before the Bears broke that streak with a 24-15 road win at The Linc last November. Chicago maintained possession for over 39 minutes as the Bears generated twice as many first downs (28-14) as the Eagles. Each of the last five meetings between the Eagles and Bears have stayed under the total.
LA Rams @ Denver 09/27 05:09 PM
Though the Broncos fell short as a slight underdog in the opener two weeks ago at Kansas City, remember that they covered their last five getting points from the oddsmakers last season.
Las Vegas @ New Orleans 09/27 01:09 PM
Las Vegas is 2-0 straight-up and against the spread, covering the number in the first two contests by 10.5 and 18.5 points respectively. The Saints have not dropped a game at the betting window since Thanksgiving last year, covering the spread in each of the last eight games.
Baltimore @ Dallas 09/27 01:09 PM
Baltimore has won-and-covered each of the last two meetings, with the last one being a 28-25 road win in Dallas in September 2024. The Cowboys' last eight games have all gone over the closing total. Since the beginning of the 2024-25 season, the over is 14-5 in Baltimore's road games.
Minnesota @ Tampa Bay 09/27 01:09 PM
Tampa Bay has won-and-covered each of the last two meetings, with the last one being a 20-17 road win in Minneapolis as a 4.5-point road 'dog in 2023. Bucs' bettors would love to hear some of those words again in the near future, because after an 0-2 start with losses to the Browns and Bengals, Tampa Bay hasn't covered a point spread since Halloween of last year (0-11 ATS). Conversely, Minnesota is 7-0 straight-up, 6-1 against the spread over the Vikings' last seven games. The under is 9-2 in Minnesota's last 11 games.
Arizona @ San Francisco 09/27 01:09 PM
Though now under first-year head coach Mike LaFleur, Arizona's blowout loss to the Seahawks last week has dropped their point spread mark to 2-9 ATS since the middle of last season.
Houston @ Indianapolis 09/27 10:09 AM
Houston is 5-0 straight-up, but just 2-3 against the spread in the last five installments of this AFC South series. The average margin of victory in those five wins was 4.2 points per game. The Texans have won their last four visits to Indianapolis, but here is the margin of victory in those four wins: 1, 4, 2 and 4 points.
LA Chargers @ Buffalo 09/27 10:09 AM
The Chargers have now lost and failed to cover five-straight games since the end of last season, while also on a 9-1-1 "under" streak since midway through last season. The latter, however, does conflict with the recent Bills "over" pattern of 7-1-1 in the totals market since later in the 2025 campaign.
Carolina @ Cleveland 09/27 10:09 AM
This is the first meeting between the Browns and Panthers since Cleveland earned a 26-24 road win in Charlotte in September 2022. It's been a rough couple of years for the Dawg Pound, but the Browns are 6-4 against the spread over their last ten games following last week's outright upset win in Tampa Bay. Six of the Panthers' last seven road games have stayed under the total.
NY Jets @ Detroit 09/27 10:09 AM
Dating back to last November, the Lions have failed to cover the spread in five of their last six home games.
Kansas City @ Miami 09/27 10:09 AM
Kansas City earned a 33-30 win in overtime against Indianapolis on Sunday night, but did not cover as a 6.5-point home favorite. If that phrase sounds familiar, it's because no other team in the NFL has come close to replicating the Chiefs' habit of winning but not covering as a favorite over the last eight seasons. Per betting analyst Evan Abrams, Sunday's win over Indianapolis was Patrick Mahomes' 37th outright win as a favorite that failed to cover the point spread since 2018. Buffalo with Josh Allen is the next-closest team with only 24 such victories.
Tennessee @ NY Giants 09/27 10:09 AM
Each of the last four meetings between the Titans and Giants have stayed under the total, but this is the first contest between Tennessee and New York since September 2022 when Ryan Tannehill and Daniel Jones were under center for each team. MetLife Stadium has plenty of critics, but Big Blue has traditionally out-performed expectations when playing at home. Since the start of the 2022-23 season, the Giants have gone 19-15-1 against the spread at home.
Cincinnati @ Pittsburgh 09/27 10:09 AM
Pittsburgh has covered the number in five of the last six meetings in this AFC North matchup. Joe Burrow missed both of last year's games against the Steelers, so this will be his first contest against the black-and-gold in quite a while. Dating back to the end of last season, Cincinnati has covered the spread in four-straight road games.
Seattle @ Washington 09/27 10:09 AM
Since Week 11 of the 2023-24 season, the Seahawks have gone 19-5 straight-up, 17-5-2 against the spread away from home. Since the beginning of last season, Seattle is 7-1 against the number as a road favorite. The only team to cover the spread against the Seahawks during that time was Tennessee, who scored a backdoor touchdown with 0:43 left to sneak inside the number as a double-digit 'dog last November.
New England @ Jacksonville 09/27 10:09 AM
The Patriots' first two games have seen a total of 23 points in each contest, which is part of a low-scoring trend that dates back to the start of last season's playoffs. New England's last six games have seen an average of 28.0 points per game with five of those contests staying comfortably under the closing total.
Atlanta @ Green Bay 09/24 05:09 PM
For the second week in a row (Green Bay this week, Detroit last week), one of the Thursday Night Football participants is facing an uphill climb on a short week. With the Lions' loss in Buffalo last week, teams that went to overtime the week prior then have to play on Thursday have gone 6-26 against the spread since 2000 (courtesy of NFL analyst ClevTA).
