THE PLAY: Jalen Brunson (NYK) Over 33.5 Points + Assists at Indiana
Jalen Brunson and the Knicks cap off a five game road trip at Indiana tonight as we’ll look for the Knicks point guard to go over 33.5 points + assists. The Knicks are favored by double digits in this matchup, but Indiana has actually been competitive with them this season and won outright in their last meeting a month ago 137-134 in overtime. Brunson has averaged 40 points + assists in the two head-to-head matchups with the Pacers allowing the third most points and fourth most assists to point guards per game over the last 30 days. Brunson has averaged 34.3 points + assists across his last three games with Indiana coming in 29th in defensive rating across their last ten games. Indiana will be playing the second leg of a back-to-back tonight so there will be some tired legs on defense after allowing a season high 36 points to Suns point guard Jalen Green last night. As of this writing both Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hart are questionable which could put more of the scoring load on Brunson so let’s take him to have another solid performance going over 33.5 points + assists on Friday night.
