Thunder guard Ajay Mitchell was hardly used in last season’s run to an NBA Championship, but that’s definitely not the case this season. Mitchell is averaging 26.5 points + rebounds + assists through seven games thus far, and we'll be looking for him to eclipse 24.5 points + rebounds + assists in tonight's Game 4 in Los Angeles. Mitchell is averaging 30.4 points + rebounds + assists in the first three games of this series against the Lakers while shooting 53% from the field. He is making the most of this opportunity after shooting just 36% last round against Phoenix. A big reason for the spike in production for Mitchell is the hamstring injury to starter Jalen Williams, which has bumped Mitchell into the starting lineup and Williams will be out once again tonight. Mitchell has been the linchpin between Oklahoma City's starters and their league-best reserve unit. When he is on the court against the Lakers' bench, Mitchell has been able to get whatever he wants on offense in this series. We don't expect that to change on Monday.
