THE PLAY: Reed Sheppard (HOU) Over 1.5 Three-Pointers Made at Detroit
The Pistons allow the third fewest points in the paint per game this season so if Houston wants to compete for a win in the second leg of a back-to-back, they’ll have to get some additional help from some outside shooting. We’re going to take Reed Sheppard to make over 1.5 three-pointers in Detroit tonight making 3+ three-pointers in four-straight games now. He’s been averaging 2.6 three-pointers made per game this season and we’re aware this line may move to 2.5 three-pointers made which we’d advocate Sheppard going over for as well. In their first head-to-head matchup way back on October 24th Sheppard went 3-4 from three-point range. Across his last eight games Sheppard is shooting 45% from downtown on over six attempts per game so let’s look for Sheppard to go over 1.5 three-pointers made in Detroit tonight and we’re comfortable backing over 2.5 three-pointers made should the line get there at any point today before tipoff.
