Quick verdict: How legit is TaoFortune?
Tao Fortune is one of the more established sweepstakes casinos, having been around since 2022, but it’s only now that I’ve sat down to create a comprehensive Tao Fortune review so you can see what it offers.
I’ve actually played at this site for a long time now, and as you’ll see below, it holds up really well due to its impressive bonuses, stylish and easy-to-use site, and massive slot collection. So, if you want a new site to try, read on as I go through important features like usability, games, the welcome bonus, and security.
Tao Fortune is an established social casino with a generous three-part welcome bonus and lots of ongoing promotions and bonuses.
The site has a notable VIP program to reward its regular players by giving them exclusive promotions, weekly rewards and even a birthday gift. All these bonuses paired with over 1600 games on offer makes the site well worth visiting.
There is a Tao Fortune Android app available, which offers a user-friendly experience. The mobile site is fully responsive if you’re an iOS user, making gaming on-the-go just as smooth as if you were using the desktop site.
Getting my Tao Fortune welcome bonus - initial thoughts
Tao Fortune is a sweepstakes casino that offers free casino-style games using virtual currencies called Tao Coin and Secret Coin. Tao Coins (TC) are the virtual currencies you use for pure casual play, and Secret Coins (SC) are the ones you use to enter sweepstakes gameplay for a chance to redeem real prizes. But how will you get these virtual currencies?
You can check out my complete Tao Fortune promo review to see all the Tao Coin and Secret Coin promos available. However, I don’t want to leave you with nothing, so I’ll at least explain the welcome bonus on offer. It is a three-stage welcome bonus that gives you 250,000 Tao Coins and 1 Secret Coin in total, and you can get it by completing these steps:
-
Tap one of our links or banners to open Tao Fortune.
-
Click the sign-up button.
-
Enter the required details.
-
Log in to your new Tao Fortune account.
-
Click the verification link you get in the email.
-
Complete your profile and verify your ID.
When you log in for the first time, you’ll get two pop-ups - one to verify your email, and one to complete your profile and verify your ID. For ID verification, you’ll need to upload a photo of a live ID and a selfie, plus enter your address. I know this is annoying, but you’ll have to do it if you want to get the full bonus and use your Secret Coins.
The 250,000 Tao Coins and 1 Secret Coin are given when you complete these three steps, with no Tao Fortune promo code required:
- 100,000 Tao Coins for signing up.
- 75,000 Tao Coins for verifying your email.
- 75,000 Tao Coins and 1 Secret Coin for verifying your ID.
I consider the average social casino welcome bonus to be 7,500 Gold Coins and 2 Sweepstakes Coins, so this Tao Fortune offer is hit and miss. You get WAY more Tao Coins to game with, but I think they could boost the Secret Coins a little.
| Vertical | Bonus | Min. Purchase | Can be redeemed | Bonus Code | Claim Bonus |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Social Casino | 3000 SC + 250K Tao Coins FREE | - | Yes! | not required | |
| Social Casino | Daily Magic Box: 275,000 TaoCoins + 500 SC FREE | - | Yes! | not required |
Other bonus promotions
We’ve got a complete Tao Fortune promo review that explains the other bonuses, but I’ve given you a summary here:
- Mail-in bonus - Get 1 free Secret Coin per successful request.
- Magic daily prize box - Log in and pick a box to get a prize of up to 275,00 TC and 5 SC.
- Referral bonus - refer a friend and get up to 900,000 TC and 25 SC.
- First-purchase bonus - 2x optional TC first purchase bonuses.
Tao Club - VIP Program
Tao Fortune also has a decent VIP program called the Tao Club. This has 10 different levels, known as planets, that you can work through, and you start at Centaurus. You work your way through the different levels by playing games and using your virtual currencies.
I think this is one of the better VIP programs available, as you can get some of the following prizes and perks:
- Weekly rewards (percentage-based).
- Access to exclusive promos.
- Birthday gift.
- Quick reward access.
- Personal VIP manager.
Checking the core features - is Tao Fortune legit?
Now, before we get to the fun stuff, as with my High 5 Casino review, we’ve got to look at the underlying core features. Things like compliance and security are important for your safety and so that you can enjoy a reliable and legitimate gaming experience at Tao Fortune.
Regulatory compliance
I’m 100% confident that Tao Fortune is a legit sweepstakes casino. It complies with US regulations by not allowing real money gameplay or deposits, and the Tao Coin purchases are only ever optional. There are also loads of ways that you can get free virtual currencies so you can enjoy the games for free, including the welcome bonus, daily login bonus, and mail-in bonus.
Security
I checked the security at this social casino and found HTTPS connectivity and SSL encryption. At the time of writing this Tao Fortune review, the SSL certificate was active and provided by WE1/Google Trust Services. You can also enable additional authentication methods on your account if you want. I always do this - I know it’s annoying and takes extra time, but things like 2FA are some of the best security measures you can put on your accounts.
Tao Coins purchase and prize redemption methods
You can purchase optional Tao Coin packages if you want, and I tested the purchase process a few times. From what I could see, you can make TC purchases using Visa, Apple Pay, or MasterCard. This isn’t a massive selection, but it’s the most common payment method people will use. The TC packages start from $4.99, and most of them include free SC as a bonus after the TC purchase is complete. Just be aware that you might see different TC purchase methods than I do based on your location.
It’s also possible to redeem your Secret Coins for real prizes, but in order to do that, you need a minimum balance of 100 SC, have verified your ID fully, and have played through any bonus SC you have 1x. After that, you should be able to make redemption requests via bank transfer.
| Payment Method | Minimum Deposit | Maximum Withdrawal | Processing Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple Pay | - | N/A | N/A |
| Visa | - | N/A | N/A |
| Mastercard | - | N/A | N/A |
| Bank Transfer | - | N/A | N/A |
| Discover | - | N/A | N/A |
| Trustly | - | N/A | N/A |
Customer support
I always like to make sure there’s decent customer support too when using a social casino, and with Tao Fortune, I think the live chat is the best option. There’s an icon in the bottom right corner, and I used this five different times to check the response times. Generally, you start by speaking to an AI bot, but you can request to speak to a human. I did this, and was typically connected with someone within 2-3 minutes, which is fantastic. From what I can see, the live chat is also available 24/7. There’s email support too, and a help center if you want to search for things yourself.
Responsible social gaming
Like with my Hello Millions review, I wanted to check what responsible social gaming tools the site has. If you go to your account and click the responsible play settings button, you can see the following tools:
- Reality checks.
- Tao Coin purchase limits.
- Self-exclusion.
- Cool-off periods.
I was impressed with this set of tools, and they are the minimum I expect a social casino to offer. Whenever I game, I always set GC purchase limits and reality checks so I don’t get lost playing for hours!
My gaming experience at Tao Fortune - is there enough variety?
Play over 1,600 casino style games at Tao Fortune
Get magic boxes as you play on Tao Fortune Casino
Enjoyment from gaming is the main reason I play at sweepstakes casinos, so a big chunk of this Tao Fortune review was taken up by testing the games and looking at the variety they offer. With 1,600+ casino-style games available, I think there is more than enough to keep you entertained.
Who provides the games at Tao Fortune?
Like in my McLuck review, the first thing I did when looking at the Tao Fortune games was check who provides them. You can tell quickly if the games are going to be good or not by which publishers provide them, and at this site, you can play games from the following producers:
- Netgame.
- Penguin King.
- TaDa Gaming.
- Betsoft.
- Booming Games.
- BGaming.
- N2.
- Evoplay.
- Slotopia.
- Kalamba.
- Fantasma.
- Spinomenal.
I have played games from each of these developers before, and I know that they are licensed and have their games tested for fairness. This means I’ve got no reservations about the underlying quality or fairness of the games at Tao Fortune. It’s a decent spread of developers, too. I’ve always been a fan of Booming Games and Fantasma, and I’ve enjoyed their slots for years. TaDa Gaming is also my favorite fishing arcade game producer.
What types of games can you play?
As I mentioned, I think one area this social casino falls down is the game genre variety. When I created this Tao Fortune review, I was only able to see the following categories:
- Video slots.
- Retro slots.
- Megaways.
- Jackpot slots.
- Fishing arcade games.
- Bonus Buy slots.
- Hold and Win slots.
This means that you’ve essentially got fishing arcade games and video slots. But you won’t find any single-player table games, arcade games, or live dealer games. I wish they offered these games, but I had plenty of fun trying out the different video slots and the fishing games.
The variety of slot mechanics is really impressive, and you’ve got virtually every mechanic you could think of. Whether you want to enjoy retro slots like 777 Burning Classics and Diamond Jungle, or opt for potential big prizes with jackpot slots like Wild Buffalo and Fortune Cash, there’s something for everyone.
I enjoyed the bonus buy slots the most
Out of all the games I tested at Tao Fortune, I enjoyed playing the bonus buy slots the most. With the games, you can automatically trigger the bonus features of the game by increasing your spin value by a set amount. I like these games as they mean you can get right into the action and experience the fun bonus features they have.
At Tao Fortune, some of my favorite bonus buy games included Rich Piggies 2, Velvet Gems, The Big Lap Rapid Link, and Wolf Fang Blood Moon Legacy. The only thing you have to remember with bonus buy games is that if you’re going to use the bonus buy feature, it puts the game volatility up to very high, and you can potentially whiff on the bonus rounds.
Is Tao Fortune easy to use for desktop and mobile devices?
I get irritated when a site is difficult to use or I can’t find the games I want to play easily, so, for this Tao Fortune review, I spent ages looking at the usability of the desktop website and the mobile version. Overall, I was impressed with what I saw, but was a bit surprised that there isn’t a Tao Fortune mobile app for iOS devices.
I like the classic design and layout of the desktop site
The desktop website has a simple black, white, yellow, and purple color scheme, and this makes the text easy to read. They also have a cool cartoon mascot, which I THINK is a Red Panda, and this makes sense as it ties in with the oriental-theme of the site. I had no issue finding my way around the site when I first logged on, as there is a pop-out side menu that has links to all the main pages and game categories.
This side menu also has links to the Google Play app, the TrustPilot score, and the different promotions you can get. If you’re a beginner here, or new to sweepstakes casinos in general, I don’t think you’ll have an issue understanding how everything works.
I never had any technical issues with the site either, nor did I see any 404 errors. Page speeds were fast, and I can see that it’s a well-constructed site. Lastly, I found navigating the games easy - I know which games I like playing, and I know which developers I go with, so I love the fact that they have an option to filter the games by publisher and genre. There’s also a search box so you can type in the exact title you want.
There isn’t a downloadable mobile app for iOS
A huge benefit for Tao Fortune is that it has a downloadable app for Android devices! I was surprised to see this, as hardly any social casinos have apps. You can download it directly from the Google Play Store, and at the time of writing this Tao Fortune review, it had over 1,000 downloads. Unfortunately, there isn’t currently an iOS app, though, so if you have an iPhone, you’ll have to use the mobile browser version of the site, which basically works exactly the same as the desktop site, but with a better layout suitable for phone screens.
I downloaded the Android version - it installed like any other mobile game or app. Compared to the desktop site, I prefer the mobile layout - it shifts the menu to the bottom of your screen so you’ve got maximum viewing space, and the loading speeds of the menus and games were incredibly fast, even on my old phone.
The real way to check how good a social casino app is, though, is the games. I tested a heap of titles, including slots and fishing games on the app, and virtually all of them were mobile-optimized. I was able to tilt my phone either landscape or portrait to get the best screen resolution, and I had an enjoyable gaming experience.

Final thoughts - would I recommend playing at Tao Fortune sweeps casino?
So, is Tao Fortune all it’s cracked up to be, and would I recommend it to you? From my experience, and while creating this Tao Fortune review, it’s definitely one of the better US sweepstakes casinos I’ve played at. It’s got all the main features I expect top sites to have, including a highly usable site, a massive game collection, and plenty of virtual currency bonuses. A major positive is the addition of the Google Play Store app, too, which gives Android users an awesome gaming experience.
The site’s not without its flaws, though, and I maintain that they need to add live dealer games, arcade games, and table games to their collection. However, aside from that, Tao Fortune is definitely a great option, and I think you’ll have a blast playing here. In fact, why not give it a try for yourself by clicking the banners on this page? Remember that if you do, and you sign up and verify your ID, you’ll get 250,000 Tao Coins and 1 Secret Coin to start off with.
