I wanted to make a Plus500 Prediction Markets review after signing up here and getting a $20 trading bonus as a new customer. Not only that, I’d seen that they had 12+ prediction categories such as sports and politics.
So, this is it! I’ve tested the site extensively over a two week period, looked at its superb 24/7 support, its trading fees, and the 4+ different payment methods that it offers among other things. I immediately got a good vibe from Plus500, and as you’ll see below, things only got better the more I discovered.
My first impressions of Plus500 Prediction Markets were positive
First impressions matter for me with P2P prediction trading, and Plus500 got it right. I was greeted with a clean, re-vamped website, loads of trading options, and the legitimacy of the brand was immediately clear to me.
They’ve re-vamped the desktop site
I remember considering a Plus500 Prediction Markets review a while back, but I thought the site looked a little crappy. That’s changed now though. It’s been re-vamped, and I’m a big fan of the new look. It’s modern, sleek, and stylish. You can easily find the predictions you want, and things like fees, volume, and trade contract prices are clearly visible.
I also tested the Google Play Android app and had a similar experience. The usability is perhaps even better here, and I think they've done a great job with the touchscreen scrolling and layout. It just makes sense and offers a smooth mobile trading setup. In terms of ratings, their Play Store app is currently at 4.4 stars, and the App Store version is at 4.7 stars which make them some of the best-received apps available.
App is available on iOS and Android
Usability worth raving about
There’s great transparency with how the exchange works and fees
I couldn’t fault the general transparency either. Plus500 has a clear fee structure with $0.01 contract commission, and a $0.01 exchange fee. Additionally, they explain how the trading process works, and have things like risk disclosures, a privacy policy, and accessibility statement.
I had no concerns about security and legitimacy
So, is Plus500 Prediction Markets legit? Undoubtedly! I was pretty sure of that after around 5 minutes. They have regulatory oversight from the CFTC, plus they are members of the NFA (National Futures Association). I also saw SSL encryption watermarks, and everything from making payments to buying trade contracts felt safe to me.
When I signed up here, I got a $20 trading bonus as a welcome offer
Just like with my PredictIt prediction markets review, Plus500 gave me a decent welcome bonus! They are currently running a simple signup offer where if you register an account, use the relevant promo code, and trade $10 within 7 days, you’ll get a $20 trading bonus.
I, of course, snapped this offer up and was pleased with the simplicity of the T&Cs. The only real thing to be aware of is that this offer only runs until October the 31st. After that, I’m not sure what comes next.
Aside from the signup bonus, I didn’t see too many other promotions. There isn’t anything like a rewards scheme, but there is potentially a referral program. I tried to research this, but wasn’t 100% sure if it was for Plus500 Prediction Market customers or not.
I was able to credit my account using Google Pay
To add funds into my account for this Plus500 Prediction markets review, I used Google Pay. I find it easy and convenient, but I did see these payment methods too:
- Debit Cards
- ACH Bank Transfer
- Wire Transfer
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
There’s generally a $10 minimum deposit and withdrawal limit, but I think for Wire Transfers it’s $200. Deposits are free, and your first withdrawal of the month is free. However, there is a 1.75% fee for subsequent withdrawals. I don’t like this, but you can play it cool and just make sure you limit yourself to one withdrawal per month.
There’s also a dedicated Plus500 Prediction Markets support center
As I was scouring the Plus500 Prediction Markets site, I noticed a small 24/7 support icon in the bottom right-hand corner. Of course I clicked it! This takes you to the support center and boy is it great!
You basically get an all-in-one support setup that includes links to the live chat, email support, plus FAQs. It’s spot on and I used it a few times to research trading fees. The online chat was the best feature - you start with a short AI chatbot intro, but they put you through to someone. The stated waiting time is 1-3 minutes, and I got to speak to a rep called Joan in 2. They sorted my query and were incredibly cheery too - a great support experience.
I was impressed with the 12+ prediction market categories and trade volume
I’d looked at how Plus500 Prediction Markets work, and made sure the brand and its features were up to scratch. For the next part of this Plus500 Prediction Markets review, I wanted to concentrate on the prediction markets. Right out of the gate I was pleased to see 12+ prediction categories, including the following:
| Prediction Category | Sub-Categories/Prediction Types |
|---|---|
| Sports | Baseball, basketball, cricket, darts, esports, football, golf, hockey, MMA, soccer, tennis, volleyball. |
| Science & Technology | AI, market shares, product launches, public health, space. |
| Politics | Congress, international, Iran, recurring, SCOTUS, courts, Trump. |
| Mentions | Earnings, politicians, Trump. |
| Financials | CEOs, companies, compute, FOREX, indices, industries, interest rates, IPOs, KPIs, S&P 500. |
| Entertainment | Awards, live music, movie charts, music, Oscars, people, Rotten Tomatoes, TV, video games. |
| Elections | Presidential, Congress, Governor, House, international, Senate. |
| Economics | Fed, GDP, global central banks, growth, inflation, Oil & Gas, jobs & economy. |
| Crypto | Bitcoin, Binance, Dogecoin, Ethereum, HYPE, Shiba Inu, Solana, XRP. |
| Companies | Advertisements, valuations. |
| Commodities | Copper, Gold, Industrial Metals, Oil & Gas, Silver. |
| Climate and Weather | Climate change, daily temperatures, hurricanes, natural disasters, snow and rain. |
It’s an extensive list, and I think that Plus500 is right up there with the other top brands I’ve tested in terms of prediction variety. I was especially fascinated with the entertainment section - it was huge. You’ve got all the major award ceremonies like The Oscars, plus loads of weekly charts predictions for movies, TV, and music.
The only thing I’d like to see improved is more detail for the individual predictions. Currently, I wasn’t able to click on any of the predictions - you can just click on the yes/no trade contract options. This means there isn’t any extra info like price trend graphs which I like to check out.

My verdict - I can see Plus500 becoming part of my weekly trading rotation
This Plus500 Prediction Markets review strengthened my belief and confidence in the brand. I had fun trading predictions, and all the site’s features made it easier to do so. What’s not to like? You’ve got a massive prediction collection, decent trading fees, and great volume.
On top of that, the site rocks, there’s two epic mobile apps, and you can even start off with a $20 trading bonus. I’m going to continue trading here, and if you want to give it a try and start trading for yourself, just click any of the banners I’ve put on this page!
