Experts Edge

Sports Data Query Group is continually refining the current models and adding new ones in an attempt to beat the linesmakers in the NFL, NBA and MLB.  The models have steadily improved, as we have had two terrific NFL seasons in a row and the MLB and NBA have been solid, but streaky.

In early 2018 we had a breakthrough with the SDQL in NBA totals.  It seemed too good to be true because the model contained very few parameters. Rigorous out-of-sample testing and statistical analysis confirmed that the model had indeed uncovered an inefficiency in the NBA totals market.

Sports Data Query Group started using the model to make selections in February and they are 34-23 (59.4%) since then.  We expect the model to win about 56-58% of the time.  With good money management, this should produce a huge profit over an NBA season.

The Best Handicappers Work Hard and Work Smart

Being a successful sports handicapping and investment firm requires time, effort, and resources. There simply are no short cuts or easy way outs for long-term success in this business, and we absolutely refuse to be out-hustled or caught off-guard. SDQL Guru clients can rest assured that we are hard at work, doing what we do best to earn and retain their business and trust.

Fundamental Handicapping

Powerful computer programs and sports handicapping software, some developed by and exclusive to  SDQL Guru sort the accumulated statistical data to objectively evaluate all upcoming games and predict their outcomes. These fundamental calculations enable us to determine the accuracy of the established pointspread for each event.

Situational Handicapping

We then scrutinize every teams' physical, psychological, and emotional situation by analyzing all manner of non-mathematical factors such as motivation, injuries, weather, outside distractions, coach-player relationships and other intangible elements. This examination and consideration of subjective factors allows us to determine the actual strength of each team for their next contest.

Technical Handicapping using the SDQL (Sports Data Query Language)

We also investigate the technical circumstances of each team and game, searching for meaningful historical trends utilizing the SDQL. How teams have performed under certain conditions in the past, such as; after a loss in which their star was no the high scorer, after a game in which their star point guard committed five-plus turnovers or after two straight games in which 60%-plus of their baskets were assisted, can portend future outcomes. In addition to selectively using these established, simple single-team and single-factor angles, we have discovered and continue to develop our own unique and complex team and league-wide sports handicapping systems for employment in our arsenal. SDQL Guru’s SYSTEMS are the most POWERFUL technical handicapping tools in the industry.

The relative significance of these fundamental, situational, and technical handicapping factors fluctuate from team to team and from game to game. SDQL Guru’s expertise is established upon our intelligent and insightful consideration, and application of these consequential aspects of each event and team. We are supremely confident that putting our sports handicapping information, analysis, and advice to work with our Money Management strategy will be a rewarding and enjoyable sports investment venture.

Sports Investing

Is it investing or gambling on sports? The mere mention of the term "sports betting" is often enough to unnerve the uneducated, who perceive it as risky, speculative, and deceptive. This preconceived notion deters many from even investigating the financial opportunities sports gaming has to offer. In reality, it can be a viable, safe, and very rewarding financial strategy when advised by a knowledgeable and professional sports handicapping and investment firm.

Sports gaming can be favorably compared to the stock market because few investments in stocks or bonds can offer the profit potential that professional-grade sports investing does. It is not a "get-rich-quick scheme" as financial gains can initially be modest; however, with a comprehensive sports investment strategy and the discipline to execute it, the profitable possibilities are quite impressive. Armed with such a game plan you could easily see a doubling of your investment in less than a year's time. What stocks offer comparable returns?

Of course there are no guarantees in the stock market or sports investing. We minimize the risk for loss while being as aggressive in our investment strategy as is prudent in order to maximize our clients' profits; however, we strongly urge a sports investor to only assume a financial position that he or she can afford to lose.

No different than the DOW or NASDAQ, profits from sports wagering can fluctuate from day to day. Painstaking research and careful planning can mean nothing in the face of a streak of simple bad luck. The gains, losses, ups and downs are simply part of the game, and have to be played out. Over an extended period of time a profit is ultimately produced. If you have a practical perspective on sports gaming and investing, you will be greatly satisfied with the monetary results.

Despite the dramatic upside potential, statistics indicate only 19% of self-advised amateur sports handicappers that gamble on sports will turn a profit on any given weekend, and this percentage drops further throughout the course of a sports season into the single digits. This is why the SDQL comprehensive Sports Handicapping and Money Management strategies are crucial in providing the difference between intelligent investing and irrational gambling.
