THE PLAY: Total Over 45.5 (-110)
While the Chargers have primarily been an ‘under’ team this season, a game against the high-scoring Bucs should change that. The Bucs have scored 28, 26 and 30 points their past three games. They've scored at least 20 points in 12 of their 13 games including each of their past 10. Tampa ranks 3rd in total yards per game and 5th in total points per game. The Chargers are favored though. So, if the Bucs get at least 20 points, as they almost always do, the Chargers are (obviously) going to need to score more than that, in order to win. Herbert was 20 of 25 with 3 TDs when he previously faced the Bucs. That game finished with 69 points, a 38-31 Tampa Bay win. These teams likely won't combine for that many points again this week but I expect them to get “enough.” *good at 46 or better

THE PLAY: Duquesne -6.0 (-112)
This is an excerpt of what I said prior to Duquesne's 80-66 win over Delaware:
“The Dukes have a lot of new faces from the team which won 25 games last season. It's taking them a little bit to find their groove. The poor start has kept this line quite low. The Dukes are starting to come around though and I expect them to break through with a much needed victory today. They lost their last game by three but it was the first game home from the Caymans. (They closed out theCayman Islands Classic with a big win over ODU.) The Dukes are playing better defense of late, as over the last four games opponents are averaging 62.8 points. Those four teams have combined to convert just 37.9 percent (85-for-224) of its shots from the field, including 25-for-79 (31.6%) from beyond the arc. Projected to finish near the middle of the pack in the A-10, the Dukes are still more talented than their guests from the Coastal Athletic Conference. Including the win over ODU, the Dukes have won 29 consecutive games, when holding opponents to under 60 points. I'm not sure whether or not they'll keep the Blue Hens below the 60 mark but I am expecting a win and cover.”
Today's line is slightly higher but the opponent is another one which the Dukes should be able to handle. The Black Bears are of a 15-point loss at Fordham. Duquesne is from the same conference (Atlantic 10) as Fordham but is a better team. This should be another win and cover for the Dukes.
