Thoroughly impressed with the ability of Bowling Green led by veteran QB Connor Bazelak to go into Penn State & College Station and exit with 27 & 20 points respectively. Severe step down in defensive class here should see their offense reach its highest productivity numbers in an FBS game this season. Old Dominion was pounced on for 466 & 465 total yards in by East Carolina & Virginia Tech their L2G. Not sure the bye week corrects enough to make any change vs. this tested opponent. What ODU does bring to the table and what figures to be improved is their pace of offensive play which currently ranks 3rd fastest in the nation. Week off can certainly help some cohesiveness issues through practice reps and possibility exits they come out of the break with increased yardage & points scored results. BGU is lower tier defense that allowed 401 ty (182 ry / 219 py) to FCS 0-4 Fordham. Steady money this week has pushed this total from 49.5 to 51.5 but still see room for opportunity in game that’s likely to be played more in the 54-56 range.
