(955) New York Mets at (956) Milwaukee Brewers
The race couldn’t be tighter for the NL Wild Card race as New York is deadlocked with the Diamondbacks and just 1 game up on the dangerous Braves. The Mets would love to put some distance between themselves and Atlanta, as they have to face them in a double-header to end the regular season due to postponements. Sean Manaea takes the mound and has been a solid option for NY all season. He allowed 1 run in back to back starts before giving up 3 last time out. Huge edge to the Mets from a motivational standpoint and Milwaukee starter Frankie Montas is pitcher we want to fade. Montas was just shelled for 8 runs in under 3 innings against the Diamondbacks. He ranks in the 10th percentile in pitching run value and nearly all of his analytics rank in the bottom quarter of the league. Take the Mets.
