186 Fresno State at UNLV
The Bulldogs have played one of the weakest schedules in the country. New Mexico, New Mexico State, Sacramento State and Michigan in their home opener. The Wolverines despite winning last week at home against USC, rank 19th in our power ratings, a sizable drop after winning the National Championship a year ago. Fresno is +4 in turnovers on the season because of the bad offenses they have faced.
The Rebels have been in the news this week because their starting quarterback and one of their two leading rushers, have decided to red shirt and enter the portal for next season. But keep in mind that QB Matthew Sluka was not a highly thought of transfer after coming over from the Ivy League. In fact, from those in the know there won’t be any drop-off at the quarterback position. And because of this news the line has been overly adjusted.
Now throw in the fact that the rest of the Rebels players have extra motivation to show they weren’t a one man team, along with the Fresno players likely overlooking the backup QB, and we have a terrific spot to back the host. This UNLV team is legit, and they prove it on Saturday.
