Jimmy Adams
(905) New York Mets at (906) Atlanta Braves
Winners of 4 of their past 5, the Braves are doing their best to try and make a late playoff push. That being said, this could be the series that decides who is in as Atlanta sits 2 games behind the Mets and 1.5 behind AZ for the final wild card spot. New York is hot as well, but the Braves will be able to get plenty of contact off of Luis Severino, who has a low whiff percentage and below average K rate. Spencer Schwellenbach enters off a 1 run performance and has elite metrics from top to bottom. He also has a strong history against the Mets, not allowing a run on just 2 hits over 7 innings when he faced them at the end of July. Atlanta has the bullpen advantage, and we’ll look for them to take game 1 in this critical series at home. Take the Braves.
