(785) Edmonton Elks at (786) Calgary Stampeders
3% Rotation #785: CFL Monday 3% OVER 51 -120 in Calgary Stampeders vs Edmonton Elks @ 6 ET - This line is currently available at over 51 -120 at BetOnline as of 2:30 AM ET. That is essentially the same thing as buying the half point on the total at over 51.5 -110 to make it over 51 -120 and in places like DraftKings, as of 2:10 AM ET, that is the current number on this total. So I am going to grab this offer in this case but certainly expect much more than 51 points here. Calgary is allowing 29 ppg this season and Edmonton is allowing 28 ppg this season. This is a rivalry game and wraps up the big Labour Day weekend in CFL north of the border. Yes, the Labor Day in the US is Labour Day in Canada. I am looking for a ton of fireworks from each offense in this one. The Elks can run all over a Stamps defense that struggles to stop the run and that will open things up to attack through the air. Note that McLeod Bethel-Thompson is making his 3rd straight start for the Elks this week and he has thrown for 4 TD passes the past two weeks and that included facing a tough Alouettes defense at Montreal. Jake Maier will be under center for the Stampeders here. Maier has some of the best passing numbers in the league this season and ranks right up there with league leader Bo Levi Mitchell. Maier will attack an Edmonton defense that has allowed 36.5 ppg in the last 6 meetings between these teams. The Elks certainly have improved this season, though still struggling often on defense, and the offense is improving. Look for that Edmonton attack to take advantage of facing a Stamps defense that has allowed 31.6 ppg last 7 games. Stamps have the worst rush defense in the league and the Elks have the worst pass defense in the league. Given that fact, both clubs should be able to consistently move the ball well throughout this game on an unseasonably warm day in Calgary Monday. Both teams can open up the playbook completely here with excellent weather conditions. 3% OVER 51 -120 in Calgary
