QUICK ANAYSIS

This Wyoming club is going to be one just like last season with a great defense and a suspect offense at best. That defense may be enough to keep Arizona ST. in check for the first game of the season. If this was a lot later in the season we may not be so inclined to bet these Cowboys on the road. However, they proved last year early that they can win. They beat Texas Tech in the opener last year and covered a big number at Texas early in the season. New coach Jay Sawvel has taken over and he is the product of the Craig Bohl program. In other words, we do not see much change from last season although Bohl was an excellent coach. What we like is a team that will be ready and Wyoming has proven in the past that they will be ready. Not sure we can say that about Arizona ST. The Sun Devils are off a 3-win season and we believe it will take a little time to get going for a Sun Devils team that did play some decent football last season. The bottom line for us is that Wyoming’s defense will take care of the Arizona St. offense and this is just too many points to lay for the Sun Devils. The back door will be WIDE OPEN all day long and we would not be surprised if the Cowboys won OR.
