APOEL were shocked a few days ago by the death of one of their coaches for the futsal team, and the whole organization banded together and, let me tell you, moments like this give a big psychological boost to teams, who now have a new reason to win, and that's to celebrate his life. APOEL also had some other big news in the past few days, as they sacked their coach after the loss to RFS in the first leg, and brought back one of former coach's Sa Pinto assistants, who coached the team for 4 months during Sa Pinto's suspension. The team and the players know and respect him, so there's the new manager bounce for APOEL who, by the way, made some good additions to their roster to do exactly that. Reach the Europa League. 

RFS used starters in their weekend match against Riga, and the coach blatantly said that the league match was more important than the one against APOEL. Probably because RFS have already punched a ticket to the Conference League no matter what happens, and if they can get by APOEL they will go to the Europa League. He also said wants to win every match, which is quite a weird statement for a team like that. Moreover, one of their most influential players, Petr Mares, was injured and will miss this game. 

One one hand we have an APOEL side that are playing at home, needing a win by 1 goal to send the match to extra time, or a win by 2 goals to progress to the Europa League league phase. They just swapped their coach with a familiar face that everyone likes, they spent a lot of money in the off season, and they also have a heavy heart after the loss of one of their coaches. And on the other hand we have a RFS side that just used starters in a pretty important match on Sunday (while APOEL didn't play), with some injuries and probably some tired legs, and with a hint of cockiness in the coach's statements.
