2% Philadelphia vs Oklahoma City

Entire quartet in this Utah grouping last season was engaged in 94 foot open court style. Up tempo philosophy not surprising from Oklahoma City but Philadelphia’s then 1st year HC Nick Nurse preached it here too. Expect that once again from each side which have necessary weaponry to come close if not duplicate & exceed last season’s 95.7 ppg (76ers) & 93.7 (OKC) three game averages. Defensive cohesiveness for these teams likely more difficult to develop so assignment breakdowns should contribute to some easy points. Thunder have pair of new high volume scorers in ex Oakland U. 3 point marksman Jack Gohlke & Weber State star wing Dilon Jones (20.8 ppg). Interesting that Jones played at altitude last season having played in Ogden which should be an advantage here in Salt Lake City. Surrounding the pair of newcomers are 2nd year Summer leaguers Ousmane Dieng & Adam Flagler. Sixers counter with 1st round shooter Jared McCain (Duke) & Ricky Council Jr. who played in 32 games with Philadelphia last season. Components are there for 180+ so play here is on the “over”.
