Analysis

(3%) ANGELS RL (+1.5 RUNS) With the Rangers favored on the ML, we're able to get an extra +1.5 runs with the Angels for a reasonable price. The Angels have taken two of three meetings this season; the lone Texas win came by a single run. While the Angels' home record of 18-26 is obviously not very good, it's (slightly) better than the Rangers' 18-27 road record. After starting the season well, Gray has been terrible of late. He had an 8.38 ERA in June and he's already got a 6.75 ERA in July. Over his last two starts, he's allowed 11 earned runs in nine innings. Davis Daniel was extremely sharp in his lone home start. In fact, he allowed just four hits through eight shutout innings. Angels manager Ron Washington said this of Daniel's home start: "He barely broke a sweat. He worked fast, threw strikes and changed speeds. That was the key. It was outstanding. I don’t think you could have scripted it any better.” Daniel would throw first pitch strikes to 22 of the 26 batters he faced. He struck out eight without walking a batter. *Reduce to 2% if higher than -135
