4%  Dallas @ Chicago

Getting in early here in anticipation of even more line movement to come based on the Dallas injury situation. Starting SF Maddy Siegrest (52.3% FG’s & 14.6 ppg) now out due to a broken finger adds to the shorthanded Wings who are also faced with the potential absence of leading scorer Arike Ogunbowale (achilles-missed LG). Dallas has played hard all season long despite missing starters Natasha Howard & Satou Sabally but now 12 games into the season it’s showing a wear and tear effect. The progressive erosion has shown up this month as Dallas is now 0-6 su & ats in June with all six losses being between 7-18 points. Scoring resources may be limited to their interior duo Monica Billings & Teaira McCowan but that is likely negated by the Chicago inside strength of Angel Reese & Kamilla Cardoso. Backup G Sevgi Uzun had a nice 17 point game for the Wings (3-5 on 3’s) at defensive minded Minnesota but Siegrist drew priority attention. Sky perimeter capable of keeping Uzun’s production down especially if she’s the only backcourt threat. Chicago at 4-9 hasn’t been reliable from a bet on standpoint at all this season but they’ve only had one opportunity where they were a home favorite. They closed as -4.5 vs. Los Angeles and they cashed tickets with an 83-73 win. Chicago has the personnel advantage here and if Ogunbowale plays since her sore achilles she’s probably not going to be at full strength. Sky in solid spot to run their home favorite record to 2-0 ats here.
