Don't let the records fool you this is a very even matchup, it's played out that way so far in this series and I expect another tight contest that could go either way here.

The Marlins and Rockies have the two worst run differentials in the National League by a wide margin but third worst in the NL is the Cardinals with a -38 and their 284 runs scored make these two teams the least productive offenses in the NL so far this season.

It hasn't played out that way in this series with a 7-6 Cardinals win on Monday followed by a 9-8 Marlins walk off win last night but many of those runs were courtesy of the respective bullpens, both of which could factor in here.

When you look at starting pitching it's easy to make the argument for Kyle Gibson who has had a good season to this point but Yonny Chirinos has been fantastic at AAA Jacksonville (3.00 ERA across 66 innings pitched) and should be highly motivated in his first start at the MLB level this season to pitch his way into the rotation.

Gibson has a 5.68 ERA in nine career starts against the Marlins and Jesus Sanchez has excellent career numbers against Gibson so I wouldn't be surprised to see him build on his huge 3 for 5 3 RBI night last night.  The Cardinals could also be without Masyn Winn who was scratched yesterday with illness and has been one of the Cardinals most consistent hitters this season.

I fully expect another close game so grabbing the run with the Marlins makes all the sense in the world here.

Play on Marlins +1.5 (-113) for 4% (or 4 units)
