5% – PARLAY Xander Schauffele Top-20 Travelers Championship + Argentina ML (-140)

Travelers Championship

Top-20 Finish (-330 DraftKings, not necessary to pay the premium for my usual recommendation of ‘Ties Pay in Full’ as it's unlikely to be a factor.

Xander is the Tour's active cut streak leader at now 49 straight and with no cut this week, he is guaranteed four rounds and thus, a very strong chance at a Top-20 finish.  Also remember, this field is only 71 players so he has to beat a much smaller percentage of the field than normal.

After winning his first major at the PGA, X did not not lose focus in his next events as he finished T8 at the Memorial followed by a T7 last week at the US Open.  He hits the ball long, is deadly with his irons, has a strong short game and can roll the rock.  It's no wonder he is in contention every single week.  In his last 14 starts, he has 12 Top-20 finishes with one of those that he didn't finish just missing at T25.

He also has strong history at this event with four Top-20 finishes in five starts including a Win two years ago.

Copa America

Argentina (-320) vs Canada (Thursday 8pm EST)

Talk about a nice setup for a draw as Argentina is on the opposite side of the bracket as Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia and USA, the other Top-5 favorites of this tournament.  Of course, that only matters if Argentina win their group and there is no doubt that they are well aware and getting off to a solid start with a win over Canada would be fantastic which oddsmakers certainly believe is likely as Argentina are listed as heavy -1.5 favorites.

Messi of course gets all the attention and this could very well be his final tournament of his career for his country as rumors are circulating that he may announce his retirement from the national team following this edition of the Copa America.  Aside from him though, Argentina is stacked with Serie A's leading goal-scorer Latauro Martinez joining him up front.  Perennial teammates Julian Alvarez and Angel Di Maria will join them and when weighing each position on paper against their Canadian opponents, there honestly isn't one place on the field that would favor Canada.  Expect a rather straight forward opening win for Argentina here.
