Recent Play Details

After watching these teams play on Friday I have reason to believe Miami is slightly overrated based on last year's Final Four appearance.  

Miami's offense isn't nearly as good without Isaiah Wong and Jordan Miller and lacks big time shot making.  Miami just hasn't played anyone that can expose that yet and I thought they were outplayed for stretches by Georgia who I believe will be the worst team in the SEC this season. 

Norchad Omier is a beast, he plays extremely hard but he's undersized for his position and Miami is undersized in general.  He's also going to get more attention from opposing defenses and he's not a great shot maker so I think we could see him frustrated by better defenses this season. 

Miami also has a much shorter bench this year, Jim Larranaga has spoke openly about this and that might shot itself in a seocnd game in three days scenario.  Kansas State was extremely scrappy defensively and Miami will have to work harder for points here.

Finally, Baha Mar is ALL K-State fans.  That ballroom will feel like a home gym for K-State this afternoon and I think it gets the Wildcats over the hump.
