I will make this short. When you have a team that can put up 40 points on their own, you have to look at taking the Over if only at 48. This Lions team is one of the best teams in football and has a well balanced, almost unstoppable offense. This Lions team is #2 in yards gained, #6 in points scored at 27 points per game, #4 in passing yards per game and #4 in rush yards per game. That is just so well balanced and how do you stop them, especially if you are the crappy Bears. The Bears D is the 6th worst in the league in allowing points at 25.5 per game (and keep in mind it is not like teams need to run the scores up on them). They are the 7th worst pass d in football and should be a gift to the Lions offense. The only thing the Bears do well on D is stoping the run and even there they are middle of the pack. I think we see a minimum of 28-31 points scored by the Lions, so how many can the Bears put up. Well let’s start with the fact that Det’s D is middle of the pack, allowing 23 points per game and they are in the bottom half of the league in stopping the pass. Both Defenses are great at stopping the run, which is also good for our over as we will see more passing. The Bears get Fields back this week and we last saw him going off for 282 pass yards, 57 rush yards and 4 TDS. He is chomping at the bit to get out on the field and I think we see an explosive Fields Sunday. Furthermore this game is on carpet and in doors which always helps the Over.
