Both Xavier and Washington are in bounce back mode when they meet at T-Mobile Arena in Vegas on Friday. However, the losses were very different, as Washington lost at home to Nevada while Xavier fell to possibly the best team in the country in Purdue. The Musketeers covered that number and while they haven’t shot the ball particularly well from 3-point range, inside the arc has been a different story. Xavier is playing the more efficient brand of basketball at both ends of the floor and are clearly more “battle-tested.” Washington has some turnover problems that could come back to bite them and this is a program I have power-rated near the bottom of the PAC-12. The Musketeers won 27 games a season ago and while some of that talent has departed, we can expect them to bounce back with a win as they take a step back down in class. Take Xavier.
