What a game on Monday Night Football. Both the Eagles and Chiefs are heading into a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl off a bye, so we should get the best versions of both of these two teams. The Eagles are surging at 8-1, and Jalen Hurts had the past week to get his knee healthy. Philly entered the bye after beating Dallas at home, and with a win against the Chiefs, the Eagles will maintain the best record in the NFL. While they currently do have the best record, the Eagles have not been as much of a juggernaut as they looked like last season. Their offense is not firing on all cylinders, as they have had issues with drops, and Hurts’ knee is not 100%. Also, this defense has not looked great, but now Kevin Byard should be acclimated to the system, and other banged-up players like Jalen Carter should be fully healthy. On the Chiefs' side, their offense is not firing on all cylinders either, but their defense is one of the best in the NFL. The Chiefs do a great job taking away opposing WR1s, so they will shift all of their focus to A.J. Brown. The Chiefs will need to see some progression from their offense in order to break away and win this game by margin, and we believe Andy Reid will be able to do it. Reid is 20-3 SU off a bye and 14-9 ATS in his coaching career. He is 12-1 SU and 8-5 ATS when filtering for home games off the bye. His teams lack offense in those games as they go below their team total often, but they are prepared defensively, and he has Patrick Mahomes as his QB. At any number below three, the Chiefs are a must-bet, as you are simply betting on Mahomes to win a football game. That is always a great bet to make.
